The National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education (NRC) is pleased to announce the release of Caring for Infants and Toddlers in Early Care and Education (I/T).

What's New?

The NC Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center promotes safe and healthy environments for children in early care and education settings. We provide information, resources, and referrals to the child health and child care communities.
  • Our toll free number is 1-800-367-2229. Call for information, resources, and referrals on topics related to child health and health and safety in child care. Anyone in the greater early care and education community is welcome to call.

  • The NC Child Care Health and Safety Bulletin is published three times a year. It includes in depth information about health and safety concerns in early care and education settings, as well as information for child care programs to share with parents. It is distributed to all licensed family child care homes and early childhood support professionals in North Carolina.

  • Support is available for Child Care Health Consultants and professionals working with early care and education programs. Our services include telephone consultation, technical assistance, training resources and web-based training.

The Resource Center is a project of the Department of Maternal and Child Health, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Funding for the Resource Center originates with the Maternal and Child Health Title V Block Grant of the Child Care Bureau, awarded to the University under contracts from the Division of Child Development and Early Education and Division of Public Health, NC DHHS.
