Health and Safety Bulletins

The North Carolina Child Care Health and Safety Bulletins, published in English and Spanish from 2001-2016, promote developmentally appropriate practices as well as the National Health, and Safety Performance Standards found in CFOC3. Early educators can access in-depth information about topics such as child development, managing chronic health conditions, preventing childhood obesity, the development of health policies and supporting healthy social and emotional development. The bulletins inform the early care and education community about regulations that affect child care programs, including child care law and rules, communicable disease and immunization regulations/recommendations, and sanitation in child care centers.

The Summer 2016 marks the final edition of the North Carolina Child Care Health and Safety Bulletin. Information and articles on health and safety in early care and education settings are now available through the electronic newsletter, Child Care Health and Safety E-News beginning the fall of 2016.
