  • California Childcare Health Program - Information on Preventing Injuries and the Spread of Infectious Diseases in Child Care Settings, with the Goal of Creating the Best Possible Environments in which Children can Learn and Grow
  • Healthy Child Care America - HCCA seeks to ensure that all children experience quality child care and early education within a nurturing environment and have a medical home. Its principles are based on the fact that families, child care providers, and health professionals in partnership can promote the healthy development of young children in child care settings and increase access to preventive health services and safe physical environments.
  • Healthy Child Care Pennsylvania - The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (PA AAP) Early Childhood Education Linkage System (ECELS) provides health professional consultation, training, and technical assistance to improve early childhood education programs in Pennsylvania, as well as many of training materials they've developed for child care.

  • National Association for the Education of Young Children - NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8.
  • National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education (NRC) - Information and resources to promote health and safety in out-of-home child care settings throughout the nation.
  • North Carolina AfterSchool Coalition - NCASC is dedicated to enhancing and facilitating developmentally appropriate care for school-age children outside the traditional school hours.
  • North Carolina Division of Child Development - The DCD oversees all aspects of child care in North Carolina. The Division is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of children, providing child care assistance, improving the quality and availability of child care, housing the Head Start Collaboration Office and providing parent outreach.
  • North Carolina Licensure Regulations - Included are North Carolina's: Chapter 110 General Statutes Child Care Facilities, Chapter 9 Child Care Rules, and Section 2800 Sanitation of Child Care Centers.
