Library Request Form

The NC Child Care Health & Safety Resource Center Library Catalog is now available on-line. Materials are available to NC Child Care Health Consultants Only. To open the catalog, click on the Library link above. Be patient - it takes a few minutes to load and for all the bookmarks to open. Instructions on how to search the catalog and borrow books will appear on the opening page. If you are already familiar with PDF files, you can open the Bookmarks and begin your search. Click on the Bookmark icon towards the upper left hand side of the page and scroll through the bookmarks to find a topic of interest. Fill out the Request form and fax it to the Resource Center. You should receive your selections within 10 days. More detailed information about policies and procedures, and how to search for and request materials, is found in the catalog. A list of web links is also provided. Click on the RC Web links Bookmark to find information and organizations you might find helpful in your work as a child care health consultant.

Asthma is the most common chronic disease of children. It affects 1 in every 14 children in the United States and the numbers continue to increase. Families need your help to make child care a safe and healthy place for children with asthma. When children with asthma receive appropriate medical management, they can participate in all of the activities that they enjoy!

Be Sun Smart Lesson Plans
We are pleased to offer you the BE SUN SMART Lesson Plans. This training module was developed as a collaborative project of the North Carolina Cancer Control Program and the Healthy Child Care North Carolina Campaign. BE SUN SMART is designed for use with preschoolers and their family members.
